 Supervised Visitation refers to contact between a non-custodial parent and one or more children in the presence of a third person responsible for observing and seeking to ensure the safety of those involved.

​

Many times supervised visits are court ordered by the Judge or Magistrate due to safety concerns that require a professional supervised visitation provider to oversee the interactions between a parent and child.  This may occur during a Domestic Relations case (divorce court), or through a Dependency and Neglect case (social services/child protection).  The judge generally orders the frequency and duration of the allowed visit.  For example, a two-hour visit, twice per week.  This information can be found in the stipulation or minute order from the court hearing. Visits occur in the home or in the community (off-site). 

 

We do not require a court order to work with you, as there are situations where both parents agree to supervised visits without the court's involvement.

Supervised visits are beneficial for all family members involved.  Supervised parenting time reduces the stress for children-they know what to expect and know they have someone present to ensure their interactions with mom or dad stay safe. 

​

Most importantly, supervised visits allow parents to maintain relationships with their children. 

 

A visit note is included with each visit and emailed to both parents.
